Hecto was still beneath her, their bodies still joined together by his softening shaft. Lifting up on her elbows, she looked down at his face and she knew instantly why Jepa was worried. He seemed… lifeless.
How could she have forgotten why she was there? The reason for the risks they had just taken?
“Hecto?” Looking into his vacant stare, tears started to fill her eyes, but she refused to let them fall no matter how much her heart was breaking.
It hadn’t worked. He no longer seemed to be lost to the madness, but Hecto, her Hecto, didn’t seem to be there either.
“Brother? Look at me. Say something.” He didn’t seem to hear his brother’s pleas.
Reaching out, she clasped Jepa’s hand, holding on to him for dear life to comfort but also to draw strength from him.
How could this be happening? He had claimed her, marked her as his mate – they both had. How could the universe be so cruel as to take him away from her now, away from them? No, she wouldn’t take that. She didn’t deserve this. Jepa and Hecto didn’t deserve this.
The anger within started off building slowly, a small spark that burned bright before spreading, consuming her with rapid succession. She hadn’t known that she was capable of so much of the emotion – Jessie was the one with the temper, not her. She was normally very levelled headed, even if she did have an imagination that tended to get away from her at times. Anger was not her go to emotion.
Releasing Jepa’s hand, she sat up, her hands on her hips. “Now listen here, Hecto. I did not come in here, risking my life and giving god knows who a show,” flinging her arm out and pointing to the camera in the corner that she had only just noticed, “just for you to lay there and do nothing once it was over. You claimed me as your mate god damn it, and I am not going to put up with a lazy arsed mate.”
What came over her to make her do what she did next she had no clue, but suddenly her hand was raised and heading straight for Hecto’s face. Just as she was about to connect with his cheek, he reacted, grabbing her wrist before flipping their positions so he was the one on top. Amazingly he managed to pull off the move while keeping his now rapidly hardening dick in her.
“What did you call me?” he asked allowed, his eyes now clear and burning with intensity. “Lazy, was it? Well, I think I need to prove you otherwise. What do you say, brother? You want to help me show our mate how not lazy I am?” He ended each question with a hard thrust of his hips causing her eyes to roll back in the head. It felt so good.
A small smile broke out on Jepa’s face, his voice awash with emotion. “With pleasure, brother. But I want to claim that sweet pussy this time.”
“I can work with that. My cock is dying to be introduced to her gorgeous ass.”
She may have been able to hold the tears back before, but now, with a whole new range of emotions filling her, she could hold them back no longer. Smiling, gazing up a Hecto that had been hidden from her due to the madness until now, she said, “Do you two mind talking about me like I am not here? Don’t I get a say in this?”
Grinding his hips, the movement giving just the right friction against her clit, he asked, “You got a problem with me taking you in the ass while Jepa fucks your perfect, tight pussy?”
“No,” she gasped as he leaned down and captured her nipple in his mouth, biting before taking away the sting with a swipe of his tongue.
“I didn’t think so. But first,” he declared, withdrawing from her body suddenly and jumping up off the bed. “I think we need a little more privacy in here.”
What happened next had all three of them laughing and gave Hannah her first really view of Hecto the jokester.
Heading over to the camera, Hecto plucked it off the wall before giving whoever was watching a close up of his genitals. “Is this angle better for you? Is it close enough?” Turning around he then proceeded to give the camera a closer view of his arse. “What about this? Enjoying the view?” When the little red light on the side of the camera turned off, he laughed, “I guess so,” before tossing it onto the floor and making his way back to the bed.
“Now, where were we?”
Epilogue
“So what's the diagnosis? Is he cured?” Teks asked Doc the moment he exited the room, Hecto following behind with a wide grin.
After they had claimed their mate, again just for good measure, Teks and Xandr had dragged Hecto off for assessment to see if he still had the madness. He wasn’t worried. The moment his fangs had pierced Hannah’s neck and her blood had flowed over his tongue the voice that had taken over his mind had not just quietened but left him completely. Still, it had taken him a little longer to fight his way to the surface and take full control over his body again.
“Of course I am. After a loving like that how could I not be?” he said with a smirk as he made his way over to his brother and mate. They hadn’t been too happy at Xandr’s treatment of him when they had been removing him from the room. The male had been in a dark mood since Mandy’s body had been found. As far as he had been concerned, Hecto was responsible for her death. Wrapping his arm around Hannah's waist, he pulled her out of his brother’s arms and kissed her hard on the mouth. They hadn’t been apart for long, but it had been long enough. He had missed her deeply. “I tell you, my mate is one special lady.”
“She's special alright,” Xandr muttered. “Anyone who would enter a room with a madness induced male to mate with him has to be insane.” Turning, he glared at Doc. “So is he?”
“Sane? Curled of the madness? Back his normal annoying self? Yeah, I'd say he is.” A fact that had left their resident doctor stumped. No one had ever come back from the madness before, or fought it for as long as he had.
“And I owe it all to you, my beautiful, brave mate. I love you.”
Smiling warmly, her eyes sparkling with unshed tears, she whispered, “And I love you, Hecto.” Standing on tiptoes she pressed a brief kiss against his mouth before turning to kiss his brother. “And I love you too, Jepa. I couldn’t imagine my life without you both in it; I wouldn’t want to. You are my life.”
Never in their wildest dreams had they truly thought that they would find a mate, especially one as brave of heart as their Hannah. She had brought him back from passed the brink, saving them both in the process. And they could never thank her enough, but they would spend the rest of their lives together making sure she knew just how much they loved and treasured her.
“Doesn’t change what happened to Mandy and Rebecca though,” Xandr growled, his angry gaze now locked on Hecto once again.
“I didn't kill Mandy, Xandr. And as for this recent death, my mate has already told you where myself and Jepa spent that night.”
The male knew full well that they’d had nothing to do with the killings; he just wanted someone to blame.
“Then who did?” Xandr snapped, his fist smashing into the wall beside him, leaving a large fist shaped dent.
“Calm yourself, Xandr,” Teks urged as he placed a supporting hand on the male’s shoulder. “We will find whoever is doing this. All our males have now been through assessment and have been cleared of madness, which leads me to believe that the killer is not Chaetdorian. “
Which could mean only one thing. One of the humans on board was the killer, but who?
Hecto thought back over the small group of human males that were housed on deck seven. None of them seemed capable of such violence. But what about Joel and his behaviour the other night, and the threat he had made? It seemed his brother was thinking along the same lines.
“The human male, Joel. He seemed to want to keep us from Hannah, warned her away from us, even threatened us when we told him to keep away from our mate. That was the night the young female named Rebecca was killed.”
His mind going back to that night, Hecto remembered the males face and the way he had grabbed Jepa’s wrist. Had that been how fibres of Jepa’s clothing had found their way onto the body?
“Joel’s a creep, but I don’t think him c
apable of murder,” Hannah whispered in his mind.
“Maybe not, but its best that they check him out anyway. Every human on board, especially those on deck seven, are in danger until we catch the killer.”
Nodding his head, Teks turned to the Xandr. “We’ll start with him then. I want…”
The door to the medibay opened and Hex entered with his mate, followed quickly by Corr, Nora, Torq and Alice. The look upon the females faces told them all that something was deeply wrong.
“Jessie’s missing,” Nora informed them all, her lower lip trembling.
“Oh no,” Hannah moaned, covering her face with her hands. “She said she was going to, said she was not staying here and that she had found a way out. I’d hoped I had talked her out of it.”
“When Jessie makes up her mind there is very little anyone can do to get her to change it,” Torq’s mate, Alice, said as she moved over to their group and enveloped his mate in a hug.
“How long has she been missing?” Teks asked.
“Last time any of us saw her was back on deck seven when you had those two carted off,” Katie, Hex’s feisty mate said, nodding to Hecto and himself. “But Hex found footage of her leaving the ship an hour ago.”
Panic blazed through his link to his mate. “An hour ago? She could be anywhere by now.”
“Don’t worry, my mate, Xandr is the best tracker we have; he’ll find her,” Hecto comforted her.
Obviously thinking along the same lines as his brother, Teks turned to the large Warrior. “Find the female and bring her back.”
An angry light lit the male’s eyes as he glared at their commander. “But what about the male? I need to find the one that killed Rebecca, who took Mandy from me. Stopping him is more important than finding one human female who is foolish enough to think she can escape the tunnels. I deserve retribution.”
“Took her from him? Retribution? I think we have missed a lot in the last few months.”
“You and me both, brother.” He was just as confused by the male’s words. Since when had Mandy and Xandr been a couple?
Teks opened his mouth to reply to the male’s outburst, but Hex spoke first, and what he said changed everything.
“You can do both, because she didn’t leave alone… Joel went with her.”

A Message From The Author
Thank you so much for purchasing my book and I hope that you enjoyed meeting the Chaetdorians as much as I enjoyed writing them. Now we authors ask this a lot, but every review really does help. So please, if you could just take a minute of your time to revisit the site you purchased this eBook from and leave a review that would be fantastic. It doesn’t have to be long, a couple of words will do, but it really does help.
Thank you again.
