  Chapter 13

It wasn’t the way Teks had wanted to claim his mate, but fuck, it had been damn enjoyable. The mating heat had ridden them both hard for hours. Teks had lost count of the number of time he had taken his mate, making her scream her pleasure out to the universe. But next time he was going to make sure it was his name she was screaming. She hadn’t been able to yet, as she had yet to learn his name. Hell, he still needed to learn hers. Which, judging by the frantic pounding of her heart, he was about to do. They had both fallen asleep after the last time, spooning with her back to his chest. He dreaded to think what she was thinking if she didn’t remember anything that had happened.

Pressing his lips against her neck, feeling her rapid pulse beating beneath her flesh, he whispered, “Shush… It’s alright, my mate.”

“Mate?” she breathed. Slowly, she rolled over to face him, her eyes widening as she felt his rapidly awakening shaft rub against her. He couldn’t help it. His body just reacted to her. He wanted her, despite the numerous times they had mated during the last moon.

“Yes. You are my mate, the one female in the universe meant just for me. Just as I am the one male in the universe meant for you, my precious Chaetdorian mate.”

At the word Chaetdorian, his female pushed away from him and scrambled off the bed. “How is this possible?” she asked gazing down at the black markings that now decorated her body. His mate was a Warrior, and he bet a damn good one at that. But there was one marking that was different, not black. Nor was it red or silver. On her right hip was a gold marking.

“I was dying. I hadn’t ingested human blood in weeks. How am I still here, and mated to boot?”

“I gave you some of my blood, and then I kind of took some of yours, essentially mating us… all but physically. That’s what sent you into the mating heat, and I also once I was within a close enough distance to you.”

Climbing from the bed, taking a moment to wrap the bedsheet around his waist in case his nakedness made her more uncomfortable with the situation, he slowly approached though she seemed more occupied by her new markings to pay him much attention at that moment. “Are you okay, with our being mated? I mean, you do remember what happened last moon, don’t you?”

  Lord he hoped so.

  Chapter 14

It was the worry in his voice that snapped her out of it.

Holy hell, she was mated. Mated! A part of her wanted to deny it, refuse to accept it and get the hell out of there… but she couldn’t. She remembered every hot, steamy detail of the night before, and she wanted more of it. Teks was the most handsome male she had ever set eyes on and already she was becoming addicted to him.

Pulling her eyes away from the markings now upon her skin, she shook her head in an attempt to clear it from all distractions.

“Oh,” he exhaled, taking a step back and sitting on the edge of the bed. “Well… Fuck, how do I put this? Last moon we…”

Realising that he had taken her movement as his answer, she rushed to reassure him. “I do. I remember everything. I’ve just… This is the first time I have seen my markings since they first began to show through when I was a teen. It doesn’t seem real.”

“For me also. I still don’t understand how this is even possible, how you can even exist. I have so many questions.”

She didn’t doubt that he did.

Well, best to get it all over with now rather than later. What was the worst that could happen? Other than him having her experimented on like some lab rat. But they were mates, he wouldn’t subject his own mate to that, would he?

“Then ask them,” she said as she took a seat beside him. She was highly aware that they were both naked, of what was hidden underneath the sheet pooled in his lap. Not that it was doing such a good job of hiding anything at the moment. She swore the tent he was pitching grew even larger the closer she was to him.

“I looked at that device of yours while you were unconscious. It used to be one of our wrist units. Where did you get it?”

“It was my father’s. Before I was born, before my mother even knew of my existence, he left to travel back to your ship. He promised her that he would come back, said that she was his mate and that they were meant to be together… He never did. The only thing we had of his was the wrist unit. My mother hid the truth from me for years until my markings started to show. Only then did she tell me everything. I didn’t believe her, of course, so she produced the wrist unit as proof.”

“And that made you believe her?”

“Well, we are talking over 200 years ago. The thought of aliens existing back then? How could I believe what she was saying? But when she showed me the unit I had no choice but to believe. I spent the next few decades learning everything I could about it, then, as technology grew, I was able to adapt it, add my own programming. And I was able to use it to find you guys, find your ship.”

“You are going to have to show me exactly how you did that. We spent moons making sure that that wasn’t an easy feat.” She had to admit, it hadn’t been easy. It had taken years for her to pinpoint the location. “And the protections that Hex and the other Technos had put in place over the past decade should have made it impossible for you to find us, never mind get aboard the ship. Though, I’m immensely glad that you did,” he whispered cupping her cheek and caressing her bottom lip with his thumb.

She wanted to lick it, to take it into her mouth and suck as she imagined doing to another part of his anatomy. But they were meant to be talking, getting to know one another – other than physically. So, despite her desires, she pushed on. “I found your ship three decades ago.”

That surprised him. “Three decades? Why didn’t you ever approach us?”

“I was afraid. My mother told me that my father’s kind were all males, never female. I shouldn’t have existed. And well, the only thing I knew of aliens back then – other than that my father was one - was what I had been brought up to believe, what the human media expected me to. I was scared of you, all of you. What would you do to me if you knew? What experiments, tests would you put me through? So, I decided to wait and watch. That was how I met Mandy and Rebecca. I saw them find the ship. I saw them meet your males for the first time, find out about you. So I befriended them, got to know them and then I told them who and what I was even though I was terrified that they would betray me and your males would come for me. But they kept my secret, became my best friends. When you made your plan to leave, to take them with you, they told me and we began to plan to sneak me onto the ship.”

“Why did you want to come with us if you believed we would hurt you? And I will tell you now, none of my males, not even Doc and his need to know all, would have ever harmed a hair on your head. We would have had questions, a lot of them, which I suspect you will still be asked. But hurt you? Experiment on you? Never.”

“I know that now. And as for why? I thought that if I left I wouldn’t have to hide so much of myself. I’m not human. I have never been human. Feeding off human blood may have hidden my physical differences, but it is more than just my markings, my eyes, that makes me different from the humans… and even different for you. I have an ability. One that none of your males has as far as I am aware… I can make myself invisible.”

Oh shit, had she really just told him that? That was it, she really had lost her marbles. It has taken years for her to open up about her ability to Mandy and Rebecca, and that had only been when she was caught out, when she had no other choice. She had known this male for a matter of hours and already and she was spilling her deepest, darkest secrets. Maybe a visit to the Medibay for testing wasn’t such a bad idea after all. She needed her head checking.

  “What do you mean invisible?”

“It’s kind of the way ingesting blood allows us to camouflage our flesh, but instead of altering the pigmentation of my skin, the colour and shape of my eyes, etc, I can alter my entire flesh to reflect that around me, to render me invisible to all. Didn’t you wonder at all how I got o
nto the ship without you even suspecting? Or how I stayed hidden so long once you did?”

“Well, yes I did, but I kind of thought SIS was helping you.”

“She was. At least once you rebooted her, and Mandy and Rebecca were gone.” The pain of losing them was still fresh. She should have been able to protect them.

“I’m sorry about what happened to them, I truly am. The deaths of your friends was never meant to happen. I wish I could have stopped Joel before he had hurt them, taken them from you. But we can’t change the past, no matter how much we would like to.” She got the feeling he was talking about someone else, someone he had lost.

“It was Totch, wasn’t it? Totch was your father.”

  “Yes. Did you know him?”

  “He was my closest friend.”

The sadness in his eyes was too much. Wrapping her arms around his neck she climbed into his lap and hugged him tightly. Now wasn’t the time but it took everything in her not to remove the sheet from his lap and impale herself on his hard shaft.

“He didn’t abandon you and your mother. Totch died when he crashed on his way back to the ship.”

“I know. SIS told me, though I don’t think she realised she was talking about my father at the time.”

“Of course I did. I know everything.”

“Arghhhh” Temple screamed, jumping from her mate’s lap as a flash of blue light lit up the cabin and SIS’s holographic image appeared. “Seriously, are you trying to give me a heart attack!”

“Make that the both of us. And what have I told you about appearing like that? I know from your programming that you can do so without the big theatrics. I checked.”

“She likes the reaction it gets her,” Temple commented dryly as she wrapped the bedsheet around herself. It was only then she realised that she had snatched it from her mate’s lap when she had jumped up, leaving him naked upon the bed. Not that he seemed at all bothered by that fact.

  “What do you want SIS?”

“We are coming up on station XI. We should be within hailing range within the next moon or two.”

“And telling me this couldn’t have waited?”

A mischievous smile stretched across SIS’s lips. “Well, it could have, but what fun would that have been?” And then she was gone, in another blinding flash of light.

“Who made her so dramatic?” Temple doubted all Ship Interfaces were like that.

“My brother. He finds it entertaining. Now,” he said as he rose from the bed and strolled naked across the room towards her, his magnificent cock standing to attention. “I have one more question for you, then I am going to kiss every inch of that beautiful body of yours and make you come multiple times before I fill you with my cock and have you milk every ounce of my seed from it.”

She couldn’t help the moan that escaped her lips at his words. That sounded… orgasmic.

  “What’s the question?”

“This will sound really bad considering what we did numerous times last moon, but we kind of skipped on the introductions and got straight down to it. So can I just ask, what is your name?”

A giggle burst from her lips at his guilty look. Maybe it did sound bad but she couldn’t complain. She didn’t know his name either. “My name’s Temple. And to make this sound doubly bad, may I ask for yours?”

He laughed, swinging her up into his arms and carrying her back to the bed. “The names Teks. Remember to scream it loud and clear when you have your next orgasm.”

And she did, and five more times after that.

  Chapter 15

It wasn’t until two moons later that they finally left the medibay, and when they did it was to an overwhelming amount of males waiting to get a look at the one and only Chaetdorian female. Teks was far from happy about it. She was his. His mate. His heart. His dream. They would just have to go and find their own.

Not that they would. His Temple was unique.

Ignoring them all, he pulled his mate to his side and strolled through the crowd.

“Are they going to stare at me like that all the time?” Temple asked once they were alone, all the males knowing better than to follow them to the command deck. He would have preferred to take her back to his cabin but he had ignored his role of commander long enough.

“For now, but once I pummel a few arses on the training deck I am sure they will learn not to do so.”

Her little giggle was music to his ears and he couldn’t help but pull her against him and kiss her for it.

That little kiss quickly morphed into something much more and Teks had SIS lock down all access to the deck they were on so none of his males would come upon them and see his mate’s naked flesh. He didn’t want to kill any of them but he would if they saw that. It was bad enough that Doc had seen his mate naked, but, as the male was trying to save her life at the time he would let it pass.

Temple had been a little quiet around Doc, her nervousness at meeting the ship medic obvious. For most of her life, she had thought that if they ever found out of her existence that they would want to experiment on her, cut her open to see how she worked. Humans had some fucked up ideas on aliens. The Chaetdorians would never even dream of doing anything like that. They had been on Earth for centuries and never once had they experimented or dissected anyone. He would say that humans were fools to think that they would, but there were some alien races out there that would love nothing more than to do just that.

“Teks,” Temple gasped as he entered her from behind while she was still in the throes of the orgasm he had given her with his fingers just moments ago. There was nothing he loved more than the feel his mate’s tight pussy spasming around his dick.

Fisting his hand in her long dark hair, Teks began thrusting into his mate, hard, her hands against the wall the only thing keeping her from ploughing through it. His pleasure built quickly, his sack pulling up tight in preparation of flooding his mate’s womb with his seed.

The need to implant his offspring within her was strong, and being a Techno he had the ability to choose when that happened, but he wouldn’t. At least not before they spent a little more time together and he spoke to her about it. For all he knew, she wasn’t at the same point as him. They may have only been together a few moons but he loved her. She was the female of his dreams, literally. He had loved her for centuries before she had even been born.

When Temple came – screaming his name he was glad to hear – she took him right along with her, milking every drop of his seed from his body.

Standing straight, their bodies still intimately connected, she leaned back against his chest and pulled his arms around her. Turning her head and pressing a soft kiss to his lips, she whispered, “I love you,” and his heart skipped a beat. So maybe they were on the same page.

“And I love you, my dream.”

  Chapter 16

“OMG!” Katie screamed the moment the door opened. They had finally made it to the command deck, having stopped a time or two along the way. Temple was surprised her legs had been able to carry her. Teks had brought her to orgasm three more times after they had declared their love for one another before he had found his release again and they had finally continued on their way. And she knew from Teks’ whispered words before they opened to door that he had been planning on mating with her again, in his command chair of all things.

Well, with the command deck full of human females and their mates that wasn’t going to happen anytime soon.

“It’s true. You're one of them.” Turning to her mate, Hex, Katie slapped him on the arm. “I thought you said there weren’t any female Chaetdorians.”

“There aren't... or weren't. Fuck, there shouldn’t be.” Turning to them, Hex asked, “How the hell is this possible?”

“Well, it is quite simple really,” SIS commented, her image appearing on the console screen instead of in holographic form. Had she finally decided to stop with the dramatics?

“Then do you fancy filling the rest of us in?”

“Humans are the first species any Chaetdorian male has mated with that is capable of carrying your female offspring. Their DNA is far more complex than that of you males.”

“Why do I get the feeling she is insulting us with that one?” Jepa asked.

“Probably because she is,” Doc commented as he came onto the deck. “Though, she is right. Chaetdorian females are not only able to camouflage themselves using blood as we do, but are also able to blend in with their physical surroundings.” Everyone seemed confused. “Temple, would you mind demonstrating for me, please?”

Taking a step back from her mate, reluctantly releasing his hand in the process, Temple smiled. She remembered the day she had shown her ability to Mandy and Rebecca. Bec’s had fainted and Mandy had opened and closed her mouth like a fish for over an hour.

  Fuck, she really missed them.

Closing her eyes, she allowed herself to fade away, to disappear from view. The gasps and exclamations of shock put a smile on her lips.

  “How the fuck?”

“Okay, why can’t we do that?” Hecto demanded. “An ability like that would be perfect for Slayers, make our work a hell of a lot easier.”

“And then you’d just complain that it was too easy and you needed a new challenge,” replied his twin from the other side of their shared mate, Hannah.

Making herself visible again, Temple re-joined Teks. The second her palm touched his, their physical connection re-made, the world seemed brighter. Hell, even breathing seemed easier. They had only been mated a short time but she couldn’t imagine her life without him now. It was as if they had been together forever.

“So a Chaetdorian/Human mating can lead to female offspring?” Corr queried.

“Yes. Though whether those offspring would have the same ability as Temple I do not know. Guess we will just have to wait for one of you guys to have female offspring to find out.”

“That should around 8 months from now,” SIS declared.
